Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you had a lovely weekend! Mine was a bit rough, black Friday and crazy holiday shoppers has me mentally and physically exhausted.

But on black Friday, I was offered a new job. And it’s a big decision that will not only effect my holiday season at this company but effect the next year or two of my life. Meaning my continuation of working and growing with this company and my continuation of my education to get my masters degree.

So the only way that I think is the best way to handle a decision this big and life changing is to make a Pro and Con list.

I know it may sound cheesy but when you write everything down, being completely honest with yourself, you will be able to see the answer by which list is longer.

So that is what my life at the moment in-between Christmas shopping is… I do not recommend haha, I’m quite stressed. But it’s all okay,

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

November Favorites!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Today’s post is going to be a short one considering my job and that I have to be at my store for black Friday in a few hours! So I apologize for this what feels like a slap together quickly post (but I didn’t want to miss a post!).

So let’s jump into some products that I have been loving this month and constantly reaching for!

Let’s start with the Sally Hansen products, considering I already did an entire post dedicated to these two! These are the Sally Hansen “Hard as Nails” and the “Insta-Dry” top coat! These two products have made at home manicures so easy! And the “Hard as Nails” have really helped to repair my nails after all of the gel manicures!

Next up that I have absolutely loving this month is the Tarte “LipSurgance Matte Lip Tint” in the shade “Envy”. It is a beautiful shade my go to mauvey pink this month and it has such an amazing staying power! I highly recommend this product!

I also have been IN LOVE with the Laura Mercier “Caviar Stick Eye Color” in the shade “Khaki”. It makes a smokey eye SO incredibly easy and it doesn’t crease, doesn’t budge, blends like a dream and is such a gorgeous color. (All of them are gorgeous colors if you ask me)

And lastly the Sephora’s “Outrageous Volume Waterproof Mascara”, it adds insane volume, super black and lasts all day. What more could you want?? Oh and it’s $12… So there’s that!

That’s pretty much it! This month I have been so crazy with work that I have been gravitating towards things that I know will work and don’t have to stress about flaking or smudging or fading. I hope you have a lovely month,

Until the next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Clarins Lip Oil Review!!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope your week is going well!

Today I have a little nifty review for you all!!

Clarins Lip Oil

This little bottle filled with gold goodness is heaven sent for the upcoming winter! It smells like burnt sugar and feels sticky when you put it on but melts into an oil and sinks right in. This is “01 Honey” they also have one tinted pink that is “02 Raspberry”, I believe.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil.jpg

It has a huge doe foot applicator that doesn’t make it easier or harder to put on, it’s just really cool!

If you have super dry lips like me and the winter is a nightmare, this might just be our saving grace! It’s already done wonders for me and if you come across it, I definitely think it’s worth a try!

I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it)! And I will be trying my hardest to make sure there is a post for you all on Friday, but seeing as I work in retail, this week has been absolutely insane!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

How to Handle a New Job

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you had a lovely relaxing weekend.

Today on our typical lifestyle Monday chats, I want to talk about new jobs/how to handle promotions and new responsibilities.

While I hope your weekend was calming and a nice break from the week, mine was not so much. It was crazy and spent about 14 hours on Saturday and 14 hours on Sunday at my store, because I was promoted to assistant manager for the holiday season (and I’m so excited, I love my store and my team).

Starting a new job is always scary, especially when you make that jump from sales associate to assistant manager (no power to power haha).

So here are my top tips to handle all of the stresses and craziness that comes with a new job/position:

~Ask Questions: no one will be mad or annoyed at you for making sure you know what you are doing and that you are doing it correctly, or making sure that you know exactly what is expected of you.

~Respect: respect everyone. Doesn’t matter if it’s your boss or your employees. Everyone deserves respect and no one should feel superior. Because if you feel superior than your insinuating that someone is inferior, and in my opinion that’s no way to lead a team.

~Communication: is really key. Whether it’s asking questions, telling your direct manager your fears or nerves about something, it’s their job to make sure you feel completely comfortable in your position and they can only do that if you tell them what’s going on. They’re there to make you the best you can be, they want you to succeed. I promise.

~Understand: understand that your boss(es) know you’re new and that you’re still learning. They don’t expect you to know everything about everything. They’re there to help you grow and learn and get into the swing of things. Believe me, they know, they were in your shoes once and they want to make sure you know more than they did when they started, they want to help you. And most of all understand that they put you in that position because they believe and see something in you that makes them know that you can rise to the challenge.

And lastly,

Breathe. You can do this. Just one step at a time.

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Sephora VIB Sale

Happy Friday everyone!! I know it might seem like I just did a Sephora Haul… And I did! Guess what? I have a shopping problem…

Sephora VIB Sale

Anyway I’ve been waiting for the sale to specifically purchase these products so I thought I’d share! And unlike most of my hauls, I’ve been using these products for about a week (the sale for VIB was Nov. 13th-16th) so I can give a little review as well!

First up…

Tarte Envy

Tarte’s “LipSurgance Matte Lip Tint” in the shade “Envy”. This is ah-mazing. Perfect shade for fall, I wish I had gotten this so much sooner! I didn’t see the hype over this honestly, mostly because it’s $24 and it’s pretty much Revlon’s balms (which I adore and are around $8). But the pigmentation and staying power is incredible. Like the Revlon balms it smells or peppermint, which I am a fan of, and doesn’t dry out your lips. This lasted all day at work and never needed a touch up! And this shade is a lovely dusty rose, mauve (shocker I know).

Next is something I’ve wanted for a long time but couldn’t bring myself to buy it…

Laura Mercie Khaki

Laura Mercier’s “Caviar Stick Eye Color” in the shade “Khaki”. I’ve wanted to try it because everyone raves about it and it’s cheaper than Bobbi Brown’s shadow sticks and apparently better. But my issues is that I never really do anything with my eyes except liner… Lately I played around with a mini Bobbi Brown shadow stick and doing a smokey eye with it and have been loving it. So with the sale I said why not?! I AM IN LOVE!! Its a lovely taupe, gray, brown and just blends out like a dream and stays all day. New favorite thing!

I then got…

Elizabeth James Nirvana Black

A mini rollerball of the ElizabethANDJames “Nirvana Black” perfume that smells amazing. Its such a lovely scent for fall and winter (though I still love my Armani “Si” I thought I would switch it up haha) and it’s rare for me to like a scent. It’s not too strong or too sweet or too musky. I really like it, but if you like sweeter I’d recommend the “White” version of it!

Then I had some points so I tried a nail polish brand I’ve been dying to try but once again, rarely do my nails (as you know if you read my last post haha)

Formula X Obsessed.jpg

A mini Formula X nail polish in the shade “Obsessed” a beautiful ox blood color and perfect for fall! It’s what is on my nails in these pictures (but they do have filters over them, it’s a lot darker in person). I don’t know how I feel about this brand, it seemed to chip really easily on me. I don’t know if that’s the nail polish formula itself, the fact that I’m used to gels and they don’t budge, or the fact that work was super busy and I use my hands a lot and they take a beating at work… Who knows haha a very pretty color though!

And that’s all I purchased! I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Nail Essentials For At Home Manicures!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are all having a great week! We’re halfway there yay!!

Today I wanted to talk about two miracle products for your nails. I absolutely love gel manicures and prefer them even though I enjoy doing my nails myself. And I think the reason for that is, I’m so impatient (I swear I’m a child) and hate waiting for my nails to dry and then they chip five minutes after they’re done (cause I’m a child). But I have two miracle products to help the bank and your nails!

Sally Hansen Nail Care

Starting off with the “Hard As Nails” I use this as a base coat and it’s exactly what it says haha, it’s a nail hardener. After having gel on my nails since May until October my nails need a break and they’re pretty brittle. Using this product it creates a beautiful canvas for the color you’re going to paint your nails as well as preventing them from breaking or splitting. (It also looks really nice on it’s own, it’s slightly very slightly tinted pink and I think it’s really pretty haha)

Next up is a product that I was super skeptical about but oh my goodness I’m in love. This is the “Insta-Dry Top Coat” which claims to dry in seconds as well as chip resistant with acrylic polymer formula to harden the polish. GUYS IT REALLY DOES DRY IN SECONDS! I cannot get over this product. I think I’m still in shock, it’s amazing and it’s an amazing top coat as well. Just go try it, I promise!

Also both of these products depending on where you get them (Target is a little bit cheaper FYI) both of these products come to about $10 maybe a little less. And I HIGHLY recommend them!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Long Distance Relationships

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend and the week a head has something happy in store!

Today, I want to talk about long distance relationships. Not necessarily romantic long distance but friendship long distance as well. I have been in a long distance romantic relationship for about 1.5 years of my 2 year relationship. It hasn’t been easy but we make it work as best we can, some days are easier than others and some days are crippling, but we go on.

But what I find can hurt more than long distance romantic  relationships are long distance friendships. Especially when that friend for the past four years you have considered a sister and so did everyone else on campus, twins to be more specific. Its a different kind of pain when dealing with a friend being so far away.

Yes, having your significant other being far away is hard too when all you want at night is his arm wrapped around you. But your best friend??? Someone you need to run outfit ideas by, the latest gossip, someone to eat with, get coffee with, someone who you spent every minute of every day with is no longer in the next building and there’s a very empty feeling left.

It is very hard to describe the difference between missing your boyfriend and your best friend. (Though, I do consider my boyfriend to be one of my best friends, my twin doesn’t compare…) So today, I thought I would share some of my tips to make the distance not seem so daunting. And these both apply to long distance romantic and friendship!

~Text whenever you can. I am constantly in conversation with my boyfriend and best friend. Always. No exceptions.

~Snapchat! Snapchat has easily become one of my favorite social media platforms for this reason. Being able to send pictures in real time and have them disappear makes it feel like they are a part of your day and vice versa. It’s so easy and honestly makes me feel like I am seeing what they’re seeing and feel like I am a part of their day. It’s also nice to be able to see their face, what they’re wearing, ask for outfit help, etc.

~FaceTime  (or skype) is also a lovely way to not just hear their voice but see their face. Obviously haha!

~Phone Calls. Seems simple but is very hard to do nowadays. But making it consistent really helps, I promise. Especially if you’re like me and hearing certain people’s voices are comforting to you, then this is extremely important.

Long distance is hard, it’s no secret. But it can be easier, especially with technology nowadays. But constant communication or some form is really important and helpful. I never go a day without speaking to both of these people in my life and though I wish they were right here, having them a snapchat away makes them feel like they are right here. You also then get the fun task of planning vacations and trips to go see the other person, and who doesn’t love that?!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo
