New Line from Tarte Cosmetics!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful week and had a very Hoppy Easter, if you celebrate!

Last Thursday (my birthday) I was in the city with my Mom and we did some shopping, because… Well, shopping runs in the family.

I was so excited that they had the Rainforest of the Sea collection from Tarte! I’ve been eyeing this line for a few weeks now as press has been released and it was on the Sephora app and website. But it has not made it in to my local Sephora, but on 5th Ave it was there! I held back and only got two things but, spoiler alert, I have to get it all.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea

I picked up their Aquacealer Concealer and their Quench Lip Rescue.

Let’s start off with the packaging because I’m in love. Everything in this line just looks amazing. But then again, Tarte has always had great packaging. The Aquacealer Concealer is in this little bottle that looks like a mini foundation glass bottle, it’s a heavy duty package with a huge doe foot applicator but I’m obsessed and it looks so great on your vanity. The Quench Lip Rescue is in this almost paper case and has a coral design on it (each shade has a different color package and design).

Now let’s talk formula! I picked up the shade, “Fair”, I believe they have six shades. This range claims to hydrate and brighten and so far I would have to say that it does just that. The concealer is a very moisturizing under the eye, but has really great coverage. It doesn’t crease on me or fade during the day, its great for covering up dark circles or tired eyes as well as redness and blemishes and doesn’t cling to dry patches (which I have a lot of…). It is extremely hydrating and brightening, I really wanted to love this line and product and I’m happy to say I was not let down. The only thing that’s a tad annoying is that you MUST shake it before you use it and the doe foot applicator is so large and picks up so much product that you have to be super careful/wipe some off before applying because it does hold a lot of product.

And for the Quench Lip Rescue, with a delicious minty flavor, is so pleasant to wear. It adds a decent amount of color for a “tinted balm”, which surprised me. I picked up the color “Rose” and there are four shades in the range. The color is exactly what it is called and I think is perfect for the spring/summer.

Overall, I’m super impressed with this range. I have really enjoyed wearing this line and my skin looks great with it on and feels great with it on! Their mascara is the first high end makeup item I’ve ever bought and it holds a special place in my makeup loving heart. But I really do like this range an will by trying more from it!

Phew, that was a long post! But I hope you found this helpful/enjoyable to read!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Eyeliner Review!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you are all excited for the weekend! And a very Happy Easter, if you celebrate it!

A week or so ago, I got a comment asking to do a review on the new Maybelline Master Precise Skinny eyeliner! And now that I have had both colors in my collection for a few weeks and really given them a go, I was more than excited to tell you all my thoughts!

So lets jump right in!

Liner Review

I have two shades, the first is Refined Charcoal ┬ánumber 230 and the second is Sharp Brown number 220. Don’t let my edit fool you, it is a charcoal almost a medium gray. Out of the two, I wear the brown shade more because it’s closer to black. But I really do like them both.

Let’s start with the formula. It is a gel pencil, which I surprisingly enjoy. If I am using a pencil, I usually want it to be able to smudge it out and smoke it out. If I want a sharp line, I always go for liquid but that’s just my preference. This gel pencil, I find, is hard to smoke and smudge out. Once you put it on, it doesn’t budge, which has its benefits.

This isn’t something that I reach for if I want a smokey look, if I do I tend to reach for Rimmel ScandalEyes or Esstee Lauder Double Wear Eye Pencil. Both of those are AH-MAZING for smudging out and just about anything as well.

But what I do absolutely love about this is how small it is. It really hugs your lash line and makes a precise line. It’s practically fool proof. It works really well in the water line and tight line. I haven’t attempted to draw a wing with it like the picture on the package shows because I just prefer to use liquid for that.

I use this on days where I want to wear makeup but not such a harsh liquid line. Cause I admit, it can be a little much sometimes. So I will grab this and put it as close to my lashline as possible, which is so easy with the size of this pencil. It’s really perfect for doing your lash line because it doesn’t transfer to your lid and its small small, it gets right where you want it.

And because it’s gel, it lasts all day and doesn’t transfer anywhere you don’t want it to.

I really like it, I know I was on the fence before but after spending more time with it, I do really enjoy it. Plus the packaging is great and its super travel friendly haha!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review, and please please let me know if there is anything you’d like me to talk about or review here! This is as much mine as it its yours!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Another Day, Another Haul!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are having a lovely week so far! Today I thought I would share with you some things I picked up when I went to the mall last Friday!

So I got fooled by online and thought that because it was on the website it would be in the store… I was wrong and very sad. But that doesn’t mean I just walked out of there without picking up something at Sephora! C’mon, you guys know me better by now!

Smith Haven Haul

So I stopped at Sephora and picked up two things and then this beautiful feather necklace from Forever 21 that was only $8! I’m obsessed and wore it all weekend…

At Sephora I got a full size of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Light 2 Vanilla, because the travel size I got of it was too dark for my skin tone and they never have stock on this shade. So they finally did and I caved haha! From what I remember I really liked it but lets hope I’m remembering correctly!

I also picked up something new from Ciate London, a brand I really like, it’s their new Liquid Velvet Matte Lipstick, and I got the shade Pinup. Its a really nice mauve color but more on the pink side. Really nice for spring time! I will let you know how I get on with this because it’s gotten some mixed reviews! So far the color and color range is gorgeous and so is the packaging! (Hello everyone, this is editing Amy from a couple days after writing this and had some thoughts I wanted to share about this product! So the color, looks more on the pink side in the tube but when put on it is definitely more of a browny-mauve… so a little deceiving which was annoying but I actually like it better. On a plus side I really like the formula, super easy to apply and lasts really well!)

Short and sweet today, I hope you have a great rest of the week and there will be a review on some eyeliners I have been enjoying later this week!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

New Technology Gadget!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you’re excited for the weekend, I know I am!

Today I wanted to share what I picked up in Target for $5… God, I love Target so much. I’m so not a tech-y person, all technology hates me, I swear. I’m a pen and paper girl all the way and never know how to fix anything that happens to my phone or laptop.

But what I am so so guilty of and why I also believe technology hates me, is the fact that I always drop my phone… On my face. I saw this on the YouTuber Lily Pebbles channel, that she has and talks about and I thought that would be really great for me to have.

And that is…

Ring Stand

This is the Ring Stand by the brand (I believe is called) Gems, in Gold, and it basically is what the title says. So you can slip it on your finger and hold it so it won’t drop on your face, if you’re like me, or you can use it as a stand to prop your phone up.

I haven’t put it on my phone yet. And I’m very interested to see if you can reuse it, if you switch cases or if it ruins your case when you peel it off. So, we’ll see… I’ll keep you posted haha!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Things I Picked Up At CVS!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope your week is going well!

Because I have no self control and hopeful of the spring launches that I’ve been seeing on all the blogs and YouTube videos will be in my local drugstores.

Spoiler alert, the products I wanted were not there… But that didn’t mean I could resist picking up some new stuff. Have no fear, I will hunt them down and there will be a full review on them haha!

CVS Trip

So I picked up two things from L’Oreal Paris and one thing from Maybelline!

From Maybelline, I picked up another Master Precise Skinny Gel Pencil in the shade 220 Sharp Brown. I have the charcoal shade and didn’t hate it so I thought I would pick up a brown (because I think that brown eyeliner is always a good thing to have because some days you might not want something as strong as black but still want something). I’ve worn it about twice and it’s good (a real nice color) but I’m not sold on the staying power. I love the size of it and how skinny it is, which makes it super easy to draw a think line or thick and to be able to place it exactly where you want it. But it does seem to fade, not a lot but enough for me to be iffy…

Then I headed over to the L’Oreal Paris side and picked up their Colour Riche single eyeshadow in 202 Sunset Seine, as well as their Colour Riche Balm in the shade 819 Caramel Comfort. I’m not super impressed with the eyeshadow, I have heard such great things from this line but I was disappointed by the pigmentation. It’s okay but I was hoping for more, it is super pretty though and soft, I might have to play with it more. As for the Colour Riche Balm… HOLY CANNOLI. It smells of vanilla and caramel, and this was something that I was expecting to have very little color to and make my lips even dryer… I WAS SO WRONG. This left my lips feeling so moisturized during the day, and left such a pretty nude color, like a sheer lipstick. I definitely would recommend trying these out! They have a color for everyone!

I’m super excited for the L’Oreal Paris FX Sculpt line to really hit here in the states and can’t wait to get my hands on them! Their nail polishes and new lip products looks amazing and I just want them all!

What new Spring/Summer launches are you excited for??

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Bath and Body Works Mini Haul!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you had a great week and are excited for the weekend!

Today I wanted to talk about some lovely products I got from Bath and Body Works, when I went in to just look around and walked out with a new scent for Spring/Summer!

Bath and Body Works Mediterranean Blue Waters

Its from their summer range and its called “Mediterranean Blue Waters”and its heavenly and smells like summer and Greece and just perfection. The main notes in this are “sparkling passionfruit, Mediterranean fig, coconut water, drenched woods and ocean musk” and its just so great. It’s not too coconut-y smelling, which sometimes I don’t like but this is just the right amount.

It’s buy two get one free, so of course I got the body cream, shower gel (which I couldn’t resist using before I photographed it) and their body mist! I definitely recommend going in and seeing what they have in their new summer line, they’re all amazing!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Benefit’s Dandelion Wishes!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Today I want to talk about my favorite color that Benefit does in their blushers and lipgloss. Now, if you read my last post about the makeup I picked up in Florida then you’ll already know how much I love this color and how happy I was to find this lipgloss… But it got better when I found this set on!

Benefit Dandelion Wishes

It is their “Dandelion Wishes for complexion, lips and eyes”! And I’m so in love with the packaging and the products inside.

Benefit Dandelion Wishes Open

So inside, we have obviously, the Dandelion blush which is such a pretty pink rose. But you also get the Dandelion lip gloss (which is a really good dupe for NARS Orgasm lip gloss and I actually like this one better)! Plush a mini “Roller Lash” “High Beam” and “Posie Balm”. It costs about $35 and I love all of these products.

Some of the value sets on aren’t worth the money, but some of them are very much worth it. And I think this won is very worth it. It also comes with (by the mirror) tips and tricks for using the products and creating looks with these products.

Launching into spring I think this is a great little kit to have to keep your makeup looking fresh and airy as we transition from the dark plums (though to be fair I still rock a dark bold lip in the summer), but sometimes it’s nice to have pinks too!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo
