April Favorites!!

Happy Friday everyone!! Yes, it’s that time of the month again! Monthly favorites time! (Personally, my favorite time)

It’s going to be a short favorites today but these three products, I have decided that I cannot live without this month.

April Favorites

TooFaced, “Better Than Sex Mascara Waterproof”. Check out Wednesday’s post for a full review, but let me just say, this is the best mascara hands down for me. I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it!

Nars, “Radiant Creamy Concealer” in the shade Light 2 Vanilla. My skin has been absolute crap this month (thanks stress!) but this stuff has covered all my spots and keeps making me look like I actually slept! It’s great, it’s brightening, doesn’t crease, stays all day, does everything you want a concealer to do in my book!

The next product has not left my handbag at all this month. It even goes from my work bag to my everyday bag, that’s how I know I really love it. I’m pretty sure every day this month that I have gone to work I have worn this. It is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Pure Hollywood”. I’m convinced that this shade fits everyone (and looks a bit different too). But it is a perfect 90s nude, not too brown not too pink, a little washed out in the best way possible. I’m not really sure how to describe it but it’s a perfect color and I can’t live without it. The formula itself is so super lightweight, you don’t feel it on at all, it’s opaque in one coat and if you put a balm on before not drying at all!! Love, love , love, love.

And finally, my go to concealer brush. This is by E.L.F. and it is their “Small Concealer Brush”, it’s perfect for just that. It blends my concealer in so well and fits perfectly under my eye and blends like a dream. Plus, it’s drug store and you can get it for $3… You really can’t go wrong with E.L.F. brushes in my opinion.

That’s it! Short and sweet this month! I hope you enjoyed it! And let me know what you have been loving this month and if there are any products you want me to review or try!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Mascara Dream Come True!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Today is a day, that has been long awaited, for me at least…

TooFaced Better Than Sex

But I FINALLY have my hands on TooFaced, “Better Than Sex Mascara Waterproof”.

I don’t know where to start… I am way too excited for this. For years (at least it feels like it has been years) I have loved the original, to be completely honest this is my dream mascara. It gives me the best volume of any mascara I have ever tried, great length, the perfect amount of clumps, build-able, I mean the list goes on and on.

But the only thing that I wished the original was, was that it was waterproof. Because my lashes grow straight I always have to wear waterproof mascara to hold a curl. The original mascara, smudged on me and after about an hour or so my lashes would be in front of my eyes again. So I sadly had to give it up, even though I loved the way my lashes looked for that hour.

And today, I am one very happy camper.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof

Now I can really say, this is my holy grail mascara. It doesn’t smudge, or flake, gives amazing volume, the perfect amount of clumps, so build-able, it’s just amazing.

If you haven’t already tried the original, or the waterproof, I seriously suggest you do. This is hands down best mascara I have tried, and it’s not too crazy expensive either. It’s $23 (and if you buy it at Ulta, you can use coupons or your points towards it!) and worth every penny.

My one critique about this mascara is the packaging. It has little “water droplets” all over the packaging and I have some sensory issues when it comes to textures and it bothers me, but I mentally prepare and deal with it because I love it so much. Asides from the droplets and the color of the tube, everything is the same. The same weighty packaging (which feels really nice and solid in the hand) and the same great hourglass shaped brush that really hugs and coats your lashes.

I cannot tell you how excited I am for this, and have already considered picking up another one to have as a back up. What can I say? I’m in love.

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

ColourPop Standouts… Again

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re excited for the weekend! Now, I know this might seem like deja vu but… Well it kinda is.

I finally was able to fully test out the other two of four products I got with my order. And well, if you haven’t realized by now, I’m obsessed and in love with everything I got and the brand.

More ColourPop Standouts

So the eyeshadow, though darker than the website picture, I felt, went on beautifully and pigmented and blended out so nicely. I patted it on my finger and then blended it out with a Sephora fluffy crease brush and the result was gorgeous. I used a primer (because my eyelids are oily) and it did not budge, crease, fade or anything. It is a really pretty taupey brown color with a teeny tiny bit of shimmer, I’m really impressed.

Now you all know my love of lip liners, right? I’ve written several posts about lipliners. But holy guacamole, this is one of the best if not THE best lip liner I have ever used. So lightweight, so creamy, so pigmented and such a pretty brown shade. But the most amazing thing is the lasting power and the fact that I can’t feel it. I ate a burger and fries and it did not budge. Like at all. It stayed put and did not feel the need to reapply, which rarely happens after I eat. It wasn’t drying at all and felt super moisturizing all day.

ColourPop, really is outstanding. Every product is incredible and extremely high quality. If you have the opportunity to try them, I really recommend that you do. I’ve already started making a second order. And if you want to see swatches for the products as well as full names of shades and product names, check out my ColourPop Haul!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

New From Buxom!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope your week is going well! Today I wanted to talk about the new lippie launch from Buxom!

I haven’t tried much from this brand, but what I have tried I’ve really liked. Their glosses and matte lipsticks are fantastic. And from the name of their new launch I was so excited to get my hands on this product, because if it does what the name says, it should be heavenly.

Buxom Liquid Lip

This is Buxom’s Wildly Whipped Lightweight Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Centerfold” which is described by Sephora as a warm nude. On the bottle/tube itself it says that it’s “Wildly Whipped Soft Matte Lip Color”. And everything that it says and has been said about this product is true.

Buxom LiquidLip

It’s so lightweight, not drying on the lips at all, the color lasts extremely well, it’s opaque, super long lasting and doesn’t cling to dry patches. I really think that for the summer this will be such a great product to have in your bag!

I have been liquid lipstick obsessed lately and unfortunately with liquid lipsticks comes some prices that we have to pay. But with this one, you’re not compromising at all. Wearing this, I forgot I had it on. It lasted all day, I did not feel it at all, putting it on felt so lightweight and creamy at the same time. It was hydrating and the color, I absolutely adore.

I really really like this product, Buxom really hit the nail on the head. If you’re in or around a Sephora, definitely go look at it and swatch it just to feel it, and you’ll want it in your life. Also, it smells like vanilla, so bonus.

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

ColourPop Standouts!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you all had a great week and are excited for the weekends!

I know we just did a little haul of ColourPop, but I’ve had them longer than my haul of them and I wanted to talk about some of the standouts for me! (Yes, I only got four things and I’m going to talk about two of them) I haven’t given all of the products I got a full test yet but so far, these two I just really had to talk about and couldn’t wait!

ColourPop Standouts

These two products are the Creme Gel Liner in the shade “Brew-HaHa” and the Ultra Satin Lip in the shade “Echo-Park”.

Oh my goodness, guys.

Let’s start with the liner. It’s not the best to smudge/smoke out but I am completely okay with that because the pros out weigh the con! This liner, does not budge, does not fade, and looks like you just applied it. I have weird eyelids, sometimes they’re oily sometimes they are super dry. And without a primer, this liner stayed on amazingly. It lasted all day and looked like I just put it on. It’s perfect for on the lid itself or on the tightline. For $5 you cannot beat this. Plus the color selection is enough to make anyone swoon!

I don’t know whats with me but I have been on a liquid lipstick craze lately. And because my lips are always dry and flakey I have never really gravitated towards liquid lipsticks, we can all imagine why (it’s not cute). But let’s start with color, its is the perfect nude without being too pink or too brown. It really is the perfect spring color. When I put it on for the first time, it was like I wasn’t putting anything on. It was so incredibly lightweight and really pigmented. I was happy with one coat! The smell/taste wasn’t great but with a lip balm underneath it didn’t matter and the scent didn’t linger at all. Once it set (which was seconds it felt like) this did not budge. I wore it to work (I had a four hour shift) and I didn’t bring it with me because I wanted to see how it would wear. Well, let me tell you, it wore beautifully. No need to reapply, it looked amazing. Once again for $5/$6 bucks, you really can’t beat it and once again the color selection has something for everyone. I will be buying more!

Hope this helped if you are thinking of buying something from ColourPop! I definitely will be buying more. It’s super affordable, super incredible products, and delivery was pretty quick!

Have a great weekend!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Trying A New Brand!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are having a lovely week!

Today I want to talk about some online shopping I did recently! Everyone has been raving about ColourPop and I’ll admit I was hesitant to order anything because it is all online and sometimes it’s hard to judge. But lately so many people I follow have been doing ColourPop unboxing and I’ve finally found things that I really want to add to my collection… So here we go!!

ColourPop Order

Because I have never shopped here before, I signed up for their newsletter and got a promocode to save $5 off my first purchase, so that was exciting! I picked up one of their Super Shock Shadow, Creme Gel Liner, Lippie Pencil, and finally their Ultra Satin Lip (liquid lipstick).

ColourPop Unboxing

So I have their Super Shock Shadow in the shade Vanity Fair, Creme Gel Liner in the shade Brew-HaHa, Lippie Pencil in the shade Chi, and their Ultra Satin Lip in the shade Echo-Park. From first glance, the shadow is a lot darker in person that on the website, which is disappointing but it’s still super pretty.

Let’s show ya some swatches and talk about how I felt about their first swatch and first impressions!

ColourPop Swatches

From left to right:

Vanity Fair Super Shock Shadow ~ Swatched really nicely, super soft and buttery, no chunks of glitter, decently pigmented. I have high hopes!

Brew-HaHa Creme Gel Liner ~ Nice brown/black liner, super smooth, nice crisp line. Haven’t tried smudging it though, so I’m curious to see how it will do. But I really like it so far!

Chi Lippie Pencil ~ A nice kinda cool toned brown-pink shade. So basically everything I’m into right now. Diggin’ it.

Echo-Park Ultra Satin Lip ~ Swatched so nicely, so opaque, a nice pink/mauve/brown shade. Super great for spring/summer. Didn’t feel that drying on the back of my hand so who knows! Everyone raves about the liquid lipsticks from ColourPop, so I’m excited to try it!

And that is it! I’m going to wear these products for a while, and give you a full review very soon! Let me know what you’re favorite ColourPop products are, if you’ve tried them! And if there are any holy grail items from them that I should get!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Mac Lipstick Dupe!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you had a great week and are excited for the weekend!

Today I wanted to talk about a dupe that I had found for one of my favorite Mac Lipstick shades!

Mac Twig Dupe!

Like most dupes, it’s not 100% but it’s pretty close, especially if browny nude lipsticks intimidate you and you don’t want to dive in spending $17 on a color you’re not sure of.

So on the right is my beloved Mac Twig and on the left is Rimmel London’s new lipstick launch, The Only 1 Lipstick in the shade “700 Naughty Nude”.

Rimmel London’s lipstick is more glossy than Mac’s. But it’s not super glossy, just a nice natural shine, where as Twig is more matte. Color wise they are both opaque with color and super comfortable to wear! They have that expected Mac and Rimmel scents of vanilla and fruit haha! But one is $17 and one is $6.99.

So if you’re looking for a new browny nude pink shade and don’t want to spend too much, definitely try out Rimmel London’s new launch, I really like this line so far! It’s a big claim to be the only lipstick you’ll need but with such a large range of colors and so moisturizing with great color pay off, they might be right!

But, I’m too much of a lipstick addict to have just one haha!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo
