May Favorites!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you are all excited for the weekend! And as always, I can’t believe it’s time for another monthly favorites post! Which is my favorite time of the month! So let’s get in to it!

May Favorites

From left to right:

CoCo Mademoiselle Roller Ball! I have been loving this perfume. I brought it with me to my little mini vacation to South Carolina, so now it reminds me of South Carolina. I love that we can associate scents with places.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in “Bow N Arrow”. I have been wearing this every day since I’ve got this, so basically the last two weeks in May. I love this formula, it really is ever lasting. Definitely one of, if not my favorite brand of liquid lipsticks.

Vaseline Lip Therapy. I love this stuff, it is super moisturizing and really helps my crap dry lips. Especially since I’ve been wearing liquid lipstick constantly. I just hate that it’s in a pot but it’s so little and adorable, I can get over it haha!

Lancôme’s Long Lasting Eyeliner in the color “Chocolate”. It’s a beautiful deep brown, that really lasts all day, doesn’t budge once it sets so you can just line your eyes, waterline or you can smudge and smoke it out. And once it sets it does not move or fade. It was a bit expensive for a pencil liner but I really love it.

Last but not least, Clarins Lipliner Pencil in the shade “01 Nude Fair”. It is a great lip liner that is like a your lips but better beige. It lasts really well, super comfortable to wear and isn’t drying at all!

And that’s what I’ve been loving this month! What have you been loving this month??

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Spring Makeup!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your week! Before we get into what’s in my makeup bag currently, I wanted to quickly address my name change. A week ago, I posted about how it’s been one year since I graduated and that there were some changes over here that was about to happen and one of them was my name change. “Amy’sPostGradPath” is now “AmyMinola”! I’m very excited about this change and I really want this blog to reflect who I am and what I love to do, which is write and try, play and review new and old beauty products. When I started this blog I had very different plans and it changed, which is great! It was more of a personal blog but I really found that this is what I love doing, it’s still personal (I hope) but I wanted to make it seem a bit more professional. Hope you don’t mind!

Moving on! Today I wanted to show you what is in my current everyday makeup bag. I have a lot of makeup, and tend to keep what I’ve been loving in a little bag in my bathroom where I get ready in the morning. So here’s what’s inside for spring!

Spring Makeup Bag

Let’s go in the order I would do my makeup!

Spring Concealer

My trusty Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and my E.L.F. Small Concealer Brush! These pair perfectly together and make my skin look practically perfect!

Spring Eyeliner

And my signature, winged eye with my incredible Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. This is the best liquid liner I’ve ever used. The brush makes it so easy to apply and it lasts all day. Sometimes, I will use pencil and do a smokey eye but I always come back to my trusted liquid liner. And this spring, I’m definitely back into my liquid liner.

Spring Mascara

We all know how much I love mascara and how much I need to curl my lashes. I’m back on my Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Waterproof mascara, and loving it. Spidery lash look, that doesn’t budge or flake or smudge and leaves your lashes feeling soft and not too difficult to remove at the end of the day.

Spring Lips

Next my favorite part of doing my makeup, lipstick! And we all know how much I love the brown lip look that’s been going on and I just got this new lippie and I’ve worn it every day since I got it. It’s Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Bow N Arrow”. I love this formula, it is a bit drying but it’s a liquid lipstick so it’s kind of a given at least a little bit. But I pair it with Vaseline’s Lip Therapy it’s my favorite lip balm, it’s extremely moisturizing and my lips have been crap lately with the weather changing, so it’s saved my lips haha!

Spring Perfume

I’ve really been loving this perfume, it’s great for spring! I’m horrible at describing scents but it’s fresh and really nice for warm weather that’s coming haha! It’s CoCo Mademoiselle by Chanel. I’m not usually a fan of Chanel perfume because of how intensely they smell and strong scents give me migraines. But this one doesn’t seem to bother me and I really like it haha!

Spring Other Bits

And lastly, these little bits are in the bottom of my bag but they are life savers. A hair tie and qtips! I love qtips for when I get mascara on my eyelids. The best tip I have ever gotten was to wait a couple of seconds and the mascara just wipes away! And now I always have them with me when I’m doing my makeup haha!

And that’s it! Hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what your spring makeup bits are!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Lancôme Juicy Shaker!!

Happy Friday everyone!! The time has come, I finally got my hands on one of Lancôme’s new products for summer!! I have been waiting for these for months, since I read about them! And let me start off by saying they are worth the hype!

Lancome Juicy Shaker

I picked up the shade “Spice It Up” because well… We all know I have a problem when it comes to brown lip products at the moment.

Not only is the packaging amazing, adorable, perfect size for your handbag, great for summer, and just overall fun, but the product in it, is pretty special too.

Being called the “Juicy Shaker” and looking like a Martini shaker, you have to shake the product! It’s a tint and oil, so it’s super moisturizing with adding a little hint of a color on your lips. So even though it looks super dark it doesn’t come off that way at all. This is no way a lipstick or a liquid lipstick or a gloss. It is very much like the YSL Tint-in-Oil’s that I love as well haha!

After you shake it, you unscrew the top and it looks like this…

Lancôme Juicy Shaker

So while you’re shaking it, there are three little holes in the base where the base of the cap meets the product and it dispenses the perfect amount on to the sponge applicator.

Now I’m gonna be honest, not the best scent of the bunch. There are others that smell absolutely delicious but this one isn’t the greatest. But it doesn’t bother me because the color is gorgeous (and the only color I would really wear out of the 21 shades) and the scent doesn’t last at all.

But everything about this is fun and awesome. It leaves your lips feeling so soft and with a really nice wash of color after the oil sinks in. It is great layered over products, I’ve been dabbing this on after I put on the Clarins Lip Liner in 01 Nude Fair and it’s been my favorite go to duo lately!

If you get the chance to try one of these amazing Juicy Shakers, I would really urge you to! They are the perfect product for summer, plus they’re just fun! With 21 shades, there is something for everyone and every skin tone, I don’t think I have ever been so excited for a launch in a while and to not be disappointed either!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

One Year Post Grad…

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you had a lovely weekend, I surely did. If you are reading this than this past weekend, it has been exactly one year since I graduated from college…

One Year since Graduation

I honestly don’t know where the time went. I thought four years went by fast, but being out of school has flown by even faster.

So many things have happened in the last year. I’m in the process of applying to grad school, possibly getting a promotion at work (which I am not too sure about but we’ll see), finally traveling to London my dream city, trying to figure out how to move to London, started this blog that I have loved every minute of and now cannot imagine not having one, had my boyfriend leave for bootcamp, went to Disney, I mean the list goes on and on and I am very lucky.

Though looking back is nice, looking ahead is is not so nice. I mean in reality I’m not doing too bad, I have a full time job (that I hate but at least I have a job?), I have a roof over my head, food, lovely friends, but there is that constant nagging in the back of my head that I am not progressing, that I’m stuck. I am not doing anything I want to be doing nor anything in my field which I spent four years getting a Bachelors in.

So things need to change, I gave myself a year, the year is up and it’s time for new goals. With that being said, I will be reworking this blog and joining it with a YouTube channel, starting soon. I love this blog and I want to keep growing it and expanding it. I realized that through this year, this blog was the best thing that I could have done.

And I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for always stopping by, thank you for reading, and thank you for your lovely blogs, I love reading them!

Look out for some changes coming up on this blog! I’m very excited, it should be fun!

(Friday’s post will be back to our regularly scheduled beauty posts haha!)

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

In Flight Travel Essentials!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you are all excited for the weekend! I know I am! If you are reading this that I am in South Carolina and have taken a plane, so I figured I would share my flight essentials!

In Flight Travel Essentials

These items (though the book might change and the some of the products) are the items that I will always carry with me whenever I travel, by plane especially.

But this is the specific things that I packed for my flight to South Carolina…

A Book: My book of choice for this trip was a long loved story by Thomas Hardy, “Tess of the D’Ubervilles”. A classic story of love, loss and growth and one of my all time favorites.  I will usually take two or three books with me (I read very quickly) and one is usually fiction and one that is non-fiction. I like the dichotomy of that because when I’m in the air, I like the distraction of language and words that will take me to a different world and make me forget that I am flying. I’m not a nervous flyer but I’m an anxious person so… Yeah.

Water: The first thing I do whenever I am in an airport is get through security and buy a gigantic water bottle (small one featured because that is all I had at home haha). Water is such an important thing for flights. I get so dehydrated so I get sick. But if I have a constant intake of water my skin doesn’t get as dry, I don’t get as sick, and I don’t swell up as much from the pressure change.

Lotion: Speaking of dry skin, I always like to bring lotion of some kind with me. This trip I am taking the Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion. It’s great, I love it and this is a travel size so its TSA Approved and does it’s job well.

Chapstick: For this I tend to bring my more heavy duty stuff because my lips suck. So this trip I am bringing the Vaseline Lip Therapy, which is just adorable. And works wonders. It’s thick but doesn’t feel it and it looks great under lipstick as well (if you decided to put some on haha).

Hand Sanitizer: Because, well, germs. I also have a sucky immune system so I tend to always have hand sanitizer on me, even more so when I’m confined to a plane with other people for an extended amount of time. This is from Bath and Body Works, which I like more than Purell because the Bath and Body Works one doesn’t dry out my hands as much. This scent is Mango Dragon Fruit and it’s wonderful.

Gum: I always have gum. I hate when my ears pop and chewing gum really helps, at least I feel it does. I also like chewing gum because it helps me when I’m nervous or anxious. Instead of then fidgeting and biting my lips or the inside of my cheek because of anxiety I am able to chew the gum instead. Same compulsion less damage to my mouth haha.

And finally,

Headphones: A must.  I don’t think I need to explain this one but I like to go into my own little world and call it a day haha!

That’s everything on what I will always bring without a doubt when I travel. I will always have some form of these things with me! Traveling is my favorite thing to do, and I find that these seven things make it that much less stressful and more enjoyable!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Another Day, Another Concealer…

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. Last week, I went shopping with my Momma (a reward for going to the eye doctor… I’m a 23 year old adult but bribery always works, especially if Sephora is involved) and I have had my eye on this one concealer.

I couldn’t justify the money, but it has amazing reviews and the foundation cannot get any better reviews. So I gave in…

DiorStar Concealer

This is the Dior Skin Star Concealer. Now the the foundation that is in this line seems to be a cult favorite. And if you’ve been following me for a while you know that I don’t wear foundation unless I’m performing, so I was hoping that the concealer was just as amazing as the foundation seems to be.

Dior Concealer

And I must say, that after using this instead of my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, I think I like this more!!

I have the shade 001 Ivory and I thought it would actually be too dark for me. But this is the lightest shade they have, so I took a chance and picked up this one. And let me say, it is a perfect match. I’m in love. It is so worth the $36. Though you do get .02 more ounces in the NARS for $8 less but I prefer the Dior one.

Here’s why, it covers dark circles and spots. But no matter how much you put on, it doesn’t cake up, crease, fade, smudge anything at all. It stays where you want it and makes your skill look perfect. It blends like a dream and lasts all day! It has been getting hotter out and my store has yet to kick on the AC but this stuff is on at the end of the day after I’ve been sweating from moving displays and dealing with stressful customers.

Its super travel friendly and compact, and it’s Dior… So you just feel fancier haha! It’s stupid I know but the packaging is simple but the CD on the top makes you feel good!

It also says on the package that it is their “Sculpting Brightening Concealer” and I would have to agree. It’s definitely brightening and really makes my under eye area look flawless and bright. And the shade is perfect for me, I know I’ve said that before but my skin tone is a bit bizarre, slightly yellow toned, slightly transparent as a ghost, and I really feel that going in to the summer (when I get a bit darker) will still be the perfect shade match for me. Their shade range for this line of concealer isn’t the best, but if you can, I would really recommend it!

I know I feel like everything I talk about, I end with “I really recommend it” but I only talk about things that I really really enjoy haha! Let me know if you would be interested to see like a “disappointing products” post!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

ColourPop Haul Round 2!!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all excited for the weekend! (Also Happy Mother’s day to all the amazing Mom’s out there, including mine!)

ColouPop Round 2

In case you all couldn’t tell already, I have a slight addiction to ColourPop. But I do not care, because it is an amazing brand and there isn’t anything I don’t love from them. So just… go with me here…

ColourPop Round 2 Unboxing

This time, I got all products from different lines, minus the shadow because I couldn’t resist. I got two of their “Ultra Matte Lip”, another of their “Super Shock Shadow” and two of their “Lippie Stix”. And I have to say, like last time, I’m in love with every single item. They are just so amazing. So let’s get in to some swatches!!

ColourPop Round 2 SwatchesFrom left to right we have:

Ultra Matte Lip: “Chi”, which I have in the matching liner. I loved the liner and then just had to have the liquid lipstick. It’s the perfect brown for my skin tone and it is so lightweight and not drying, it’s perfect. Next is “Dr.M”, which is a beautiful dark green. I don’t know what possessed me to get it but I had to. I don’t know what I will wear this to just yet, but I am extremely excited to wear it. This one though is super drying on the lips, like holy cow Sahara Desert on your lips, but with some balm underneath and a good exfoliator after it’s just fine!

Super Shock Shadow: “Weenie”, this is the most pigmented softest eyeshadow I have ever seen in my entire life. I loved the last shadow I got but this one is so much more pigmented and so much more creamier. It’s a beautiful copper and just perfect for summer. So. Beautiful.

Lippie Stix: First we have “Grunge” which is the perfect ’90s brown so of course I’m obsessed and in love. And then we have “Lumière” which is my perfect your lips but better shade with a slight brown tint to it. Both of these smell like vanilla and both are matte. They’re perfect.

Both the shadow and two Lippie Stix are both from the collaboration with the YouTuber KathleenLights (whom I absolutely adore) and they are all perfection.

You may say obsessed, I say enthusiastic.

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo
