I Had A 20% Off Coupon at Ulta!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you had a great week! I can’t believe how quickly this month is going, I mean Christmas is less than 10 days away… Good thing I got all of my wrapping done yesterday! But I’m kind of happy with how quickly this month is going, 2016 was tough personally and just in the world and we get to start again really soon and that gives me hope and energy.

ANYWAY… That a was an extremely long intro that had nothing to do with today’s post (luckily the title told you exactly what is going to happen today). I recently received a coupon from Ulta that was 20% off everything except fragrances… Like everything, drugstore brands, high end brands, everything!! This doesn’t happen often and it was great I picked up a lot of gifts for friends and today I’m going to show you what I picked up for myself. (Since those friends do read this…)

Like always let’s start left to right!

So in the silver container we have a brush set with four brushes in it that was part of their 5 for $10. It had a big fluffy brush good for powder an angle brush, smudge brush and one of those shadow applicators that is a sponge. It was a good deal and I travel a lot haha! (And 20% off…)

Next we have a nail polish from Zoya, a brand of polish I have never tried before but the polishes I wear are either black or super dark colors or super light colors that look like you aren’t wearing polish but look super put together. So this line from the brand intrigued me. This is Zoya’s “Naked Manicure Perfector” in the shade NM Buff Perfector, they had two other colors (I don’t know if there are others but those were the only ones that this Ulta had); the color I have which is a peachy nude, a very light pink and a light purple. I chose this one because well, I am in no way a pink person and I don’t like the way pinks look with my skin tone for some reason haha!

Then I picked up a mascara from Essence, so of course it was super cheap and even cheaper with the coupon. This is their I <3 Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara in black. This is Essence’s only rubber wand for their mascara range (which I prefer to bristles) and I have yet to try it, so I thought I would grab it! It is saying that it will be crazy and extreme volume which is what I like to hear, so we shall see! I do love Essence products so who knows maybe this will be a winner!

And lastly is what I had my eyes on and kind of inspired this trip… But didn’t need it/didn’t want to spend the money but with a coupon and being a holiday set I decided to get it since it will be gone soon! So this is bare Minerals’ Merry Little Luxuries Illuminating Trio! A $50 value for $20 with 20% off! It comes in this gorgeous and compact but quite large makeup bag and three of their wonderful products including their: Illuminating Mineral Veil Finishing Powder, Mini Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Heartbreaker, and Gold Dipped Eye Color. I love bareMineral’s products and out of these three have only tried the lipgloss (which is fantastic) so I am super excited to try the others! They are all illuminating and gorgeous and perfect for the lit from within look perfect for the holidays!

I love holiday gift sets that come out from makeup brands, they are usually amazing! I hope you enjoy your weekend!!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

My December Ipsy Bag!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are having a great week! Yesterday I got my December Ipsy bag in the mail and I was talking to a friend of mine who asked if I put my Ipsy bag and talk about it on my blog, I realized the answer was no and figured I’d give it a try!

So I have been a part of Ipsy for about three months now and I absolutely love it. Makeup and small makeup bag, literally my two favorite things. How could I not?? If you don’t know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly subscription that sends you 5 mini/delux (sometimes full sized) sized products allowing you to try so many different brands! It’s great because you take this little quiz that asks what brands you usually shop, what brands you want to try, your skin type, color, hair color, what you prefer makeup wise, what looks you tend to go for, etc. it’s really great and caters the bag to stuff you will be interested in!

Let’s look into my December bag, shall we?

First up the bag this month is a dark pink fuzzy bag, great for the holiday’s (but not really my style haha)!

I got, a mini Tarte Maracuja Oil, which people rave about and never tried but super excited to! I have been itching to try an oil for a while because my skin is so dry at the moment and I was interested to see if an oil would make a difference, so now I get to see!

Next I go an Ofra Cosmetic single eyeshadow/highlighter in the shade Bliss. It’s a gorgeous coppery bronze color (my kind of shade) that I would totally wear everyday and looks especially for the holidays! I have never tried anything from this brand but once again it gets rave reviews so I’m super excited to try it!

I then got an eyeliner from the brand Aurora, it’s a black liquid liner that claims to be waterproof and smudgeproof, and is alcohol free, paraben free and perfume free (so good for my sensitive eyes!). I’ve never heard of this brand but am always looking for new good liquid liners since that is what my go to look mostly is!

Then a brush from the brand Beau Gâchis Paris and this is their concealer brush. From the looks of it, it looks good! It’s a flat top brush and is pretty soft, I don’t know if I would use it for concealer but I will definitely give it a shot!

And finally I got a lip treatment from the brand Hanalei, once again never heard of them but it looks like they are a Hawaiian based company but it smells amazing very vanilla-y. And we all know I love a good lip treatment!

Overall, I was very impressed and excited for this months bag! Are any of you subscribed to Ipsy? If so, what did you get in your bag? Do you love it? Let me know!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Drugstore and High End Favorites!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you are having a great week and are excited for the weekend! I definitely am, my Mom and I are getting our Christmas tree and I can’t wait!

Today I thought I would share my favorite drugstore and favorite high end products that I use every day. If you know me and have been following my blog for a while y’all know I don’t wear foundation and stick to concealer, mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick. And I thought I would share with you guys my go to from both high end and drugstore!

Face ~ Maybelline’s Super Stay Better Skin Concealer in the shade Ivroy 10 (yup you guessed it the lightest shade)

Eyes ~ Max Factor X Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Liner in the shade 01 Ivory Black (another great one that I swear by is the L’Oreal Super Slim Liquid Liner Pen). For mascara we have Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Luscious Full Fan Effect Mascara in the blackest shade possible, it’s the best.

Lips ~  L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paints in the shade 310 Taupeless. This is a new launch and it’s amazing. This is a gray based taupe and it lasts all day and leaves a nice stain after the gloss dies down. It isn’t a liquid lipstick by any means but if you’re careful it lasts all day with no touch ups needed. Also, it has a doe-foot applicator which I LOVE and their shade range is INCREDIBLE.

Face ~ Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NC15 (I haven’t used this in SOO long and my gosh I forgot how great this stuff is!).

Eyes ~ Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. YSL Babydoll Mascara in 1 Black. This stuff is expensive but amazing, doesn’t smudge or flake.

Lips ~ Mac’s Lipstick in Spirit. A new found love again but my goodness it’s my perfect brown.

And that’s it guys! These products do everything I need to do. Great volumized lashes, super black long wearing liquid liner, concealer that covers everything but looks natural and stays put without creasing, and lipsticks that are comfortable to wear, long lasting and doesn’t fade in a weird way!

As much as I love trying new products, if I am in a rush and don’t want to fuss these are the products I reach for that I know will give me a great makeup day always and will last!

What are your favorites that you reach for when you know you don’t want to fuss and you know that it will do exactly what you want it to?

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Gifts Under $25!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! The holiday season is upon us and in full force if you ask me! Currently listening to my Christmas Spotify Playlist that I made as I type this to get into the festive mood!

I don’t know about you but personally as stressful as it can be (especially unemployed) I absolutely love getting gifts for people. Holiday shopping is probably my favorite kind of shopping, every brand has their own little gift sets, travel sizes are in abundance (which is just the best thing ever, who doesn’t love a good mini size product?) so I have gathered 6 gifts that are under $25 and I think are really great little gifts.

If you’re on a budget, have a spending limit with your friends, doing a secret Santa, need some stocking stuffers or whatever the case may be, these are things that I’ve picked up for people this year and I thought I would share!

First up this adorable key chain from Burlington, it was $3.99 and can fit about two to three credit cards or cards in that little flap! I am a big hoarder and lover of key chains and  I tend to always buy key chains for people and myself haha! I bought one for my self and it’s surprisingly durable and I have been able to keep my debit card, license and credit card in there all safe and sound for the days where I am not feeling carrying a bag around.  They came in sooooooo many different colors and patterns so there is definitely something for everyone!

Next is something that I have picked up from Ulta! This is from Soap&Glory and it is their Hand Food, hand cream! I don’t know about you guys but I find hand creams to be something you always need but never seem to buy for yourself, does that make sense? And this is such a great deluxe size and only $4!! Plus not only is it a great deal it’s an amazing product. So for that someone who loves skincare and beauty, who wouldn’t want it!

Next up is this cutie! For your fellow Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fan! I personally am probably too obsessed but that’s a different story for a different day. Yes, it’s another keychain (what did I tell you?) but this little guy is adorable and any Fantastic Beast fan will love to have their own Niffler with them all the time! I picked up mine from Barnes and Noble for $4.95 but they also sell them at Hot Topic along with the full size figurines.

Who doesn’t love The Body Shop?? And this adorable, heavenly smelling duo is their hand cream and lip butter that I picked up at Ulta for only $10!! That’s right, $10! I was obsessed with this hand cream in college, and recently fell back in love with it. Their stuff is so good and smells incredible. Honestly, this is a great gift for anyone on your list, friend/sister/cousin/coworker will all love this!

A gift for the shopper in your life who also cares for the environment! At $10.95 it can be yours! I picked up this beauty at Barnes and Noble, which is basically a reusable tote with Starry Night design. This is right up my alley. It’s compact enough to throw into my purse when I’m shopping or to keep in my car just incase I have to walk into Target (it’s also a really nice size as well and can fit a lot of Christmas presents in it)! And to top it off it has a painting by my favorite artist on it! Any shopper, art lover, and environmentalist would love it!

Next up is the most expensive gift of the bunch, but any beauty lover and enthusiast will LOVE this set from Huda Beauty. I picked this up from Sephora for $24. It’s their Lip Contour Set in the shade Trendsetter&Bombshell. It comes with a full size lip liner in the brown nude shade and two deluxe sizes of their liquid lipsticks (which are so matte, so comfortable, and super long wearing I love them) in the shade Trendsetter (brown nude) and Bombshell (subtle pinkish nude). The packaging is beautiful and any lipstick lover would love to have this set I think!

Also, I just wanted to mention, Ulta always does their 5 for $5. It’s a great deal that you can mix and match products and beauty tools and it is really the best deal. I highly recommend if you have friends that love beauty and you need little presents to fill in for a main gift or a stocking or just in general. I cannot tell you how great the deal is and how great their products are!

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this post! This was my first attempt at a bit of a gift guide I guess haha! More so, I went shopping found cute little stocking stuffers (which are my favorite types of gifts to receive and give) and thought I would share! Hopefully this was helpful or interesting or both!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo

Favorite Fall/Winter Nail Polishes!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week and are excited for the weekend!

I used to be the kind of person who would love to get her nails done, not because I was horrific at painting my own nails (I quite pride myself on doing a good job on my own nails haha) but more so because getting them done professionally makes my cuticles look like a dream and I can never get them to do that.

But since I am still unemployed and have some time on my hands I have been finding myself doing my nails more and more. I would do them all the time in college (cause the common theme throughout this sentence is being broke haha).

And now that it’s officially the holiday season I thought I would share my favorite go to nail polishes for this season that aren’t quite traditional (cause c’mon I’m not the red sparkles kinda gal). To be honest I wear these shades year round, so I guess we can say these are just my go to nail polishes 24/7.

Let’s start from lightest to darkest!

First up we have Marc Jacobs number 198 “White Snow”. I am OBSESSED with this shade, wearing strict white polish makes me look ill (super yellow skin toned and I look like I am seriously sick) but this is a muted milky white with the slightest hint of pink undertones in it. Marc Jacobs makes my favorite nail polishes, they are a bit pricey but my goodness do they last forever, could get away with one coat, and I honestly have had the polish on for two straight weeks and not even the slightest chip (and I’m pretty rough on my nails and hands). If you want to treat yourself to a nice polish, I seriously recommend any of the Marc Jacob polishes and especially this color!!

Next we have Essie’s number 501 “Au Natural”. It has a nice subtle sheen/ iridescence to it and its a gorgeous nude shade without making your skin look weird, if you know what I mean. It’s like those super light pinks that you see the Duchess of Cambridge wear, that looks like you have a clear coat on but something extra? Except this isn’t pink it’s a light brown (which we all know is right up my alley). If you haven’t given this one a try I highly recommend it. Also, not pictured is Essie’s “Wicked” which Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall I wear on my toes, I need to buy a new one which is why it’s not here haha!

Moving on to the darker colors we have OPI’s “Steele Waters Run Deep” which is this gorgeous gray color. Its extremely rich and as the name would suggest deep. Super opaque, lasts really well on the nails and it’s part of their “Infinite Shine” collection which I have to say stands up to it’s name, that shine did not leave my nails, I was very impressed. It’s a very unique gray, most nail polishes that are gray tend to have a little purple or lilac running through them (which I am not a huge fan of) this seems to be pretty close to a true dark gray that I fully appreciate.

Ending with another Marc Jacobs nail polish (spoiler I have three in total and not putting them all in hurt my heart a bit and I totally want to get more of these polishes), this is number 128 “Nirvana”.   Which is a gorgeous deep dark green, that from far away looks a bit like black but with a bit of something extra. This one I highly recommend two coats if you want the polish to look super deep and rich otherwise one coat will look mossy green. But like “White Snow” this polish is extremely long wearing, durable and absolutely stunning. Seriously, put some on your Christmas list these polishes are AMAZING.

I thought I would throw in my favorite base coat and top coat. My favorite base coat (which I have spoken about before) is Sally Hansen’s Hard As Nails. And I feel like I am super late to this party but I just got my hands on Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. This stuff is actual magic. It makes my nail polish super durable, super shiny, chip resistant and dry super fast. And if you know me the worst part of painting my nails is waiting for them to dry (which is another reason I like getting them done professionally because I am forced to sit and have them dry and I spent money on them so I want my money’s worth haha) this stuff really makes them dry super quick. This is my secret weapon to making my nail polish last and last and last!

And that’s all she wrote! What are your go to fall/winter shades?? Let me know!

Until next time,

Cheers! xoxo
