Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you’re all doing well! Last week was a blur and was so exhausted and crazy with work that I just couldn’t get ahead of posts so I just decided that I wouldn’t write anything haha! But I’m back!
And today, I want to talk about an old product that I’ve rediscovered and now can’t stop wearing!
This is the Tarte Tartiest Lip Paint in the shade “Bestie”. And I am 100% absolutely obsessed with not only this color but this formula. It’s a matte liquid lipstick that is so comfortable and feather light that I do not know why this got pushed back to the back of my makeup collection.
The shade is perfect, it is for me, the perfect my lips but better brown-y nude. What I also love about this shade because of that is that if I eat or it begins to fade (which it did when I ate Ramen haha, it’s the only thing that I ate that broke it down a bit) I don’t feel the need to reapply because it fades so beautifully.
But I don’t have a problem with this product fading really at all. It lasts so incredibly well, isn’t drying and I’m telling you, the most lightweight liquid lipstick! It honestly doesn’t feel like anything.
I also love their doe foot applicator, it has a little divot in it that just hugs the lips and holds the perfect amount of product, at least for me. I can get a full opaque application for lips in one swipe!
They also have tons of colors to pick from, if you haven’t tried these yet; you should!!
Until next time,
Happy Friday everyone!! Tomorrow is my performance with Ohana Performing Arts and I’m so so excited to be back performing! So today I thought I would share with you what I keep in my rehearsal bag to make sure I survive long rehearsals in one piece!
First up we have this lovely tote that I got from Primark for $12! Plus it has a zipper! Also the bandana that I got also from Primark that was on sale for $1! I absolutely LOVE Primark!
Now first up, obviously we have my script as well as a pen and a pencil. I like carrying both because I like writing blocking in pencil and taking notes from directors in pen and you never know if you might have to sign something and you usually need to sign things in ink haha!
For the little things, I have a Clarins hand lotion for obvious reasons, mints from Starbucks because you don’t want to be known as the cast member with dragon breath especially if there is a kissing scene, and my trusty Lucas PawPaw Ointment for really anything and everything but mostly just an intense lip balm.
I then have a hair tie and a hair clip because it is usually easier to work with your hair out of your face, at least for me. I have a lot of hair.
And lastly I have a water bottle because rehearsing is not only exhausting by dehydrating especially under all those lights. I like this one because it holds a decent amount of water and you press the top to get the spout out to drink so there are no germs or dirt getting on the mouth piece when you want to take a sip! Plus, it’s reusable and refillable and I don’t know about you but I am big on not using plastic and I always drink a ridiculous amount of water haha!
*Not pictured, a sweater because I am currently wearing it, cough drops because I ran out and I had to get more after I took this picture and tea because I didn’t make it yet haha!
And that’s everything I keep in my rehearsal bag! I hope you found this somewhat interesting!
Until next time,
Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are doing well! It’s that lovely time of the month again where I get to share my Ipsy bag! And spoiler alert, I’m OBSESSED with my bag this month!! So let’s jump right in, shall we?
This month theme is Good Vibes Only and I am not mad about it.
First up, we have a brush from the brand Firma and it’s their number 103 brush. It’s super soft and not super dense I don’t think personally I would use it but it is a really nice brush and I think my Mom would get more use out of it haha!
We then have from the brand Promise Organic their “Nourishing Coconut Milk Facial Lotion” that is 100% Natural. It smells amazing and with my sensitive skin 100% natural is music to my ears haha!
Up next we have a concealer from Aurora X Ipsy, their “Pro Cover-UP Concealer” in the shade 49 Balmy Beige; which of all the concealers I’ve received from Ipsy, this is by far the best shade match and BONUS it’s cruelty free!!
Next up something I am beyond super excited to try is Seraphine Botanicals “Liquid Coal Waterproof Liquid Liner”. Not only do we all know I love good liquid line, but I haven’t been wearing it lately and I threw out all my liquid liners so now I have a great excuse to get back into my wings! But why I’m really excited for it is that not only does this company NOT test on animals, but this line is vegan, GMO free, and gluten free! Not that I am any of these but I’m all for vegan products!
And finally we have a mascara from Eyeko LONDON and it’s their “Black Magic Mascara for Drama and Curl”. It’s a curved bristle brush in a cool tube packaging but I’n not too hopeful for this one mostly cause I prefer plastic wands but I used to LOVE their eyeliner, so who knows!
That’s everything I got in my August Ipsy bag!
Until next time,
Happy Friday everyone!! Today, I wanted to share with you a show I’m currently involved in and performing on Saturday August 19th! So I’m sorry but today’s post is some sneaky self promotion!
I’m so honored to be a part of this show and a part of the Ohana Performing Arts family. It’s going to be a great night filled with Broadway music but we have a fun little twist for ya! So if you’re on Long Island and have a free night come on by to support this new amazing family and watch us sing songs that we would not normally get the chance to sing on Broadway!
It’s been so great to be at rehearsals again and performing and I am so excited to get back to what I love and what I am meant to being doing. Some come by and see my first night back performing in two years! And if you can’t make it, don’t worry there will be plenty more shows! That’s a promise. (Not only to but to me as well)
Until next time,
Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are having a great week! Today I wanted to share the most amazing shoes I picked up from DSW a few days ago that I am so excited to wear and never take off until there is snow on the ground!
These mules are all the rage at the moment and some are so ridiculously expensive, though to be fair most shoes are, I don’t know I’m not a shoe girl (handbags foreverrr). But I have had my eyes on these beauties from Steve Madden since the season began. I never bought them, since I didn’t know how much I would wear them for the price (originally around $60). Lucky for me, THEY WEN’T ON SALE! They were 50% off and with taxes I spent $32 on these beauties!
I’m so in love with them! I’m not one to buy into trend pieces (especially when I wear the same 4 tshirts over and over and I don’t like spending money) but with my monochrome wardrobe this is a perfect subtle pop of color that will go with everything I wear! I’m still in the phase where I’m too afraid to wear them cause I don’t want to ruin them. So I’m writing a blog post on it as an excuse to take pictures of them and preserve them forever haha!
What have been your favorite summer staple?? Are you excited for Autumn and Winter?? We all know I am haha!
Until next time,
Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend! This past week, I went into the new Lush store that just opened in my mall! Now, to be fair, it’s been open for a while but this week I finally had the chance to go in and shop! So I thought I’d show you what I picked up!
Now, everyone loves their bath bombs and shower stuff (so do I) but for me these two lip products are super holy grail for me! And I know they are as well for a lot of other people!
I picked up my favorite lip scrub in the scent “Mint Julips” and their lip balm in a scent I haven’t tried before that’s “Rose Lollipop” and my goodness, this smells heavenly! To me it kinda smells like their store, which I find heavenly, but more rose-y.
Their lip balms are absolutely amazing and I feel don’t get enough love! I also adore their “Passion Fruit” one as well. This one is un-tinted and just a balm, but they also have a few that are tinted and leave your lips super smooth and nourished as well as leaving a bit of color!
I also purchased this piece of fabric essentially from them! I believe it’s called their “Knot Wraps” but its basically a piece of fabric that comes in a bunch of different colors and patterns and can be used for basically anything. Though they market it as something you can use to tie up your products as gift wrap or a bag when you shop at Lush, I thought they would be great for tying into a headband when washing your face and stuff! I just loved the pattern and couldn’t leave the store without it!
What are some of your favorite products from Lush?? Let me know because I’m always looking for a reason to go back and shop there haha!
Until next time,
Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying you week so far!! Today, I thought I would talk about one of my absolute favorite can’t live without it, holy grail hair tool!
Now, let me preface with I blow dry my bangs, and roughly dry my ridiculously thick hair because I don’t have two hours every time I wash my hair to sit and actually dry my hair so really the only hair tools I have are two brushes haha! And this is one of them!
This is the “Wet Brush” and it’s nothing new and I have a tiny little one I take when I travel that’s yellow, it’s something I’m pretty sure I pictured in posts about what’s in my travel stuff!
I wanted to make a whole post dedicated to this little guy here that is apparently designed for THICK HAIR. And let me tell you! This might be the first thing I’ve seen advertised, in all my years of owning thick hair, that actually does what it says!
Now for all you guys who haven’t heard of the Wet Brush, it’s basically a brush that is basically designed to use on wet hair. So it’s gentler on your hair so it doesn’t break while you brush it but at the same time does a really great job of getting out all your tangles!
So if you see this guy in your drugstores or Target (that’s where I got mine haha) and you’re in need of a new brush, I could not recommend it more! It’s absolutely one of my favorite brushes that I have ever used and now that I found them easily accessible I won’t be going back to any other brush!
Until next time,
